About a week before Mike and Kate’s wedding, Mike Sent me this email:
Wishing for rainbows on your wedding day seems like a 1 in 1,000,000,000,000 chance. And of course, with rainbows also comes rain – which no one wants at their wedding. My Team and I had been watching the weather all day – it looked promising as we pulled into the Inn at Erlowest, with a 26% chance of rain later in the evening. So, the call was made to keep the ceremony outside and we all went about our work. Kate looked stunning and was so at ease and excited about the day. One of the reasons that they loved this venue was because lake life is so important to them both – especially Mike. Since he was 2 weeks old he was out on the water and has always felt at home there. It was also a special place for Mike and his Grandfather, who gave him his boat that he had refinished by hand. As we started to approach the ceremony time, the forecast changed quite fast and we were scheduled to get HIT with a huge storm within 25 minutes – Everyone hustled into place and just as Kate and Mike started to say their vows, the drops started to fall… The amazing part was, the sun cut right through the clouds and kept them in the light throughout their entire ceremony! Only a slight drizzle fell on Kate and Mike, which Mike said was their grandparents’ tears. Everyone was quite touched, and just as the ceremony was finished, the rain started to fall in earnest. As we looked out over the water – a perfect rainbow appeared that spanned the entire sky. It was nothing short of amazing and such a memorable wedding gift for this couple.
A little blessing right before the ceremony…
Thank you so much for having YTK capture your special day – we wish you both a lifetime of happiness!
