This is one wedding that I have been excited about for a long time! Everyone was so excited (and not surprised) when Bryan and Dana announced their engagement. These two go together like peas and carrots as Forrest Gump would say. When spending time with them you can’t help but have a HUGE smile on your face. Last year I had the privilage of shooting their awesome Indian Ladder Farms Engagement session and was so excited to capture their wedding day. There are so many tender touches that went into this Upstate Farm Wedding and I am so excited to share all of them with you. Dana was full of DIY projects (I am so lucky to have such beautiful and creative brides!) and she transformed the historic Mabee Farm’s Barn into a beautiful and crafty Barn Wedding venue.
The grounds at Mabee Farms was the perfect location for some beautiful Schenectady Wedding Photos
One of the many DIY Projects that Dana created was her hand selected and self arranged bouquet and Bryan’s boutonniere.
Dana’s make up and hair looked stunning and perfectly suited her vintage style dress.
The wedding party got ready at the Historic Parker Hotel in downtown Schenectady. I HAD to use the vintage elevator as the backdrop of Dana’s dress shot. Just love all of the old iron work.
This vintage locket housed old photographs of Dana’s family and she had the locket sewn into her dress to keep them close to her on the big day.
That is one STUNNING and HAPPY bride… Just love her!
Some Bling on the Bubbly…
There was some question as to how to tie a bow tie, but thanks to youtube and BFF Alex they got the job done!
Bryan looked so dapper in the moody window light.
And yet another awesome couple to select a unique mode of transportation to their wedding. Last year YTK Groom Levi was flown in by helicopter and here Dana arrived by boat.
I just love how these two light up when they see each other.
We did get the tiniest amount of mist during the ceremony but it was no matter – Dana’s girls had her covered quite literally….
Dana and Bryan read their own vows and it was a deeply personal and sentimental moment.
One of my favorite parts about this wedding was that Dana and Bryan were married by Dana’s mother. She put together an absolutely beautiful ceremony that was centered around love, communication and family. Even their wedding rings connect back to their family as Dana’s ring was model after her Grandmother’s wedding band and Bryan had the honor of having his grandfather’s wedding band.
Meet the New Mr. & Mrs.
This was our ever popular Facebook Teaser!
Let the celebration begin! I just love families like this where everyone knows how to lighten up and have fun!
This was my first time to Mabee Farms and I could not get enough of these Upstate Farm Wedding Photos
It wouldn’t be a farm wedding without mason jars and custom cocktails
Even though it misted for a moment at the ceremony we still had some dark and dramatic skies for our wedding portraits and if this happens on your wedding day, don’t worry…
BECAUSE, Dark skies and a killer sunset can make magic like this…..
And here come all of the fab DIY details!
Here is the key to your seat and the key to my heart…
Dana did a spectacular job on the decor including creating a mason jar chandelier.
Time for their first dance!
They had the best speeches from two very dear friends and their family members – The entire barn was in stitches…
And then it was time for dancing
The barn was buzzing with celebration!
