Takk House Wedding with Morgana + Frank

We have officially kicked off the 2017 wedding season and it could not have started in a better way. We LOVE getting to shoot right down the street at one of our favorite venues – Takk House with some of our favorite vendors, like Flower Scout and Slidin Dirty! PLUS add an amazing couple and you have the perfect Saturday (well it could have been warmer but… this story will certainly warm you up. Morgana and Frank met at the ages of 1 and 3. Their parents were friends as both of their fathers taught high school together for some time. The connection paused for some time until the two reconnected in 2011 when Frank applied for a job where Morgana had been working for a long time as they started to get to know each other they began an office romance. The next part of the journey Morgana says best in her own words:
“Over the past 5 and a half years, we have shared adventure and heartache. We did a sailboat trip in Belize, camped and ate amazing scallops in Nova Scotia, hiked down to hot pools in New Mexico, skied our hearts out in Aspen Colorado. We have also faced tragedy together. In May of 2012, Frank’s older brother Seth drowned. This was an extremely difficult and heartbreaking loss. The old adage of, what doesn’t break out makes you stronger, and this was true for us.
This wedding marks almost 6 years to the day that they reconnected! They both have supported each others dreams and it was so wonderful to be wrapped up in their world of love and connection!

Morgana is a jewelry designer and handmade her stunning earrings, necklace and hair pins. I looked all over the Takk House for just the perfect prop to shoot them on and DIED when I found this old encyclopedia on M – and found Metal work! So fitting and so Morgana

Colie killled this bouquet – just simply stunning!

We asked the question – Bride or Goddess on our Instagram when we teased this one- The answer… YES!

We decided to do something a little different for our first look (and warmer) and used the amazing stairs inside Takk House.

You reflect the best parts of me…

Everything was set so beautifully for the hand fasting

and we LOVED the spiral design for the ceremony. Super unique and so fitting for this couple.

As in the old tradition – they jumped over a broom!

Morgana even made the centerpiece out of cut copper!

Thank you for having YTK capture your beautiful wedding celebration! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness.
