Every now and then, we have the pleasure of capturing such special days for people who are close to us. This day was filled with many wonderful, familiar faces as I (Jess) was able to watch and photograph someone who is like a little sister to me tie the knot. It was very emotional!
Kelly + Kris had a beautiful, intimate ceremony on Kinderhook Lake a few weeks ago in her Uncle’s backyard, right on the water. After a very sweet exchanging of vows, the party headed over to Stablegate Barn and Winery to celebrate. This was my first time shooting here and I just loved the charm of the barn, the gorgeous farm land and vineyard.
These two are such a perfect match and so obviously head over heels for each other. At one point during our Bride and Groom portraits, I told them they were gross because they are so mushy with each other. Coming from someone who is constantly surrounded by love and the expression of it, that says a lot. But, being Kelly is family, I had to express that and thank Kris for bringing her such happiness. I can just see just how incredibly elated she is to become husband and wife, and I’m positive everyone present could see and feel it too. Especially after the newlyweds surprised everyone with a choreographed first dance that was phenomenal!
Congratulations Kelly + Kris! We are wishing you a lifetime of happiness and laughter!
Something old + something blue(and bubbly)! It was a really touching moment when Kelly’s mom slipped her Grandmother’s ring on her finger.
Proud Mama. I love the look on her face.
Love this memorial set up on a ladder that belonged to Kelly’s Grandfather.
They killed their first dance, all that practice really paid off!
