If you follow the YTK blog you know that I have been so excited to photograph Christina and Jackie’s Saratoga Dance Museum Wedding. Christina wrote me the most delightful email that read “Hello, We are two women who love each other and your work.” from that one line I knew that I was just going to adore them and I so do! We had the most spectacular engagement session at Washington Park! Both Jackie and Christina are dancers so it was so important for them to have a venue to fit the theme. They put so much planning and thought into their wedding and hosted their grand event at Saratoga National Dance Museum – how perfect! One thing that they didn’t plan (but was equally amazing) was that their wedding date coincided with National Dance Day – even more perfect! It was so wonderful to spend the day with these two amazing women, their friends and incredible family. You know that moment when two people just share a look and you can see the connection and how much they adore one another? That happened every time these two locked eyes! It isn’t uncommon for the YTK Team to tear up during a wedding ceremony – but we were just sobbing with happiness for Jackie and Christina. After all Love is Love and they demonstrate that with their kindness, playfulness and heart. We are just thrilled to share this absolutely stunning same sex wedding at Saratoga National Dance Museum. This first set of images was just so tender with both Mothers of the brides helping put on their jewelry. Jackie and Christina got their dresses from Brides against Breast Cancer and will be donating them back to help the cause!
We just love this ring shot! Aren’t their bands stunning?
They picked such a lush color pallet of purples and coral.
We had a sweet first look before heading over for portraits. I just love Jackie’s HUGE grin!
And Christina was brought to tears….
Beautiful light – beautiful brides what more can you ask for?
!
Jackie and Christina also wanted to have some images on the Carousel in Congress Park! We just love this shot!
Black and White bridal images are always so romantic!
The Saratoga National Dance Museum was the perfect venue for this same sex wedding.
Their smiles. That is all.
The natural light is so beautiful at the Saratoga National Dance Museum.
Jackie and Christina’s vows were so touching – we couldn’t help but tear up (a lot) during the ceremony!
And now time to start Dancing….Right after a few more Bridal portraits!
I was obsessed with this lavender! It made for the most beautiful background!
Soft and Romantic
Since these two had planned out a fabulous first dance they changed into something more dance appropriate! We are obsessed with Jackie’s Fedora.
They looked so hot in their second outfits – we just LOVE Christina’s skirt that was perfect for all she spins and twirls!
Loving those punchy colors for the reception! Nicole’s did a stellar job (as always) with the catering!
– This was the most epic entrance and first dance ever and I do mean you HAVE to see the video by Ben Pliss-
Christina is quite the DIY Bride – she constructed the Jackie & Christina sign!
The speeches were so fabulous from their ladies of honor!
Tons of laughter and tears
And let the party begin with what??? Oh you guessed it… More Dancing!
They were tearing up the dance floor!
