ROYAH + KEVIN // Maternity Shoot // Troy NY

We have another awesome bump blog for you today with the radiant Royah and her hubs – Kevin! They are expecting their first baby and I couldn’t be more excited for them!  Throughout our shoot we talked about becoming a Mom and Royah mentioned collecting some killer baking recipes.  Now anyone who bakes knows that it is both a science and art – just like photography. So, I am going to share two of my absolute favorite recipes with you. My Personal Recipe for great photographs and My Mom’s Chocolate Chip Cookies – both are delicious!

RECIPE FOR GREAT PHOTOGRAPHS by Katherine Wright Ingredients:
1 cup       Great Light
2 cups    Sweet Couple (extra sweet if available)
8 oz Coordinated outfits
1 Dynamic location
Dash of Love With your camera and lenses

And as promised, here is Momma Wright’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe!


Yields 5 Dozen
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large egg
  • 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips


  1. PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  3. BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
