PARISIAN PASTRIES // FOOD

I am not BIG on desserts. Of course I love the occasional indulgence – dark (dark) chocolate mainly, however there are a limited number of things that I have to have. One delight that I can’t resist (under any circumstances) is the French Macaron – Two sweet meringue-based cookies that sandwich an assortment of gooey goodness. I was treated to the traditional confectionery by one of my dear friends returning from recent trip from France.

Not only did I get a box of perfectly packaged and presented Macarons – they were from Les Marquis de Laduree in Paris. #mouth watering

I don’t know if you have ever had the pleasure of experiencing a French Macaron but, if you haven’t and are in the Capital Region – stop by The Placid Baker in Troy and try an amazingly wonderful (#life changing) treat.
