Love on First Lake

Jess and I started out on our drive up into the Adirondack mountains. The world smelled like fall and as we got further north a few trees had even started to change color. We  found ourselves at the Fieldstone Lodge and immediately got wrapped up in its history. The Lodge (and cottages) is a historic site that was built in 1900 and holds so much classic charm. This was the perfect playground for our bride who hand-created almost every detail of this wedding. From the lit arbor way, to the place settings, Lea collected and designed all of the elements that made this lake wedding so beautiful. Lea is a girl after my own heart – hardworking and someone who just needs everything to be put in place before she can take a breath. It was also so important for her to have a space that she could be creative in and incorporate that comfortable feel of home. Lea and Andy are such a sweet couple – filled with laughter (and lots of tears on this day). Their first look was so perfect! Being BIG dog people, I just loved that Lea and Andy made a special place for their pups to be part of their day. As Lea described it, they are a part of our little family. The weather was SO on our side with the misty moodiness that made for the BEST portraits and right before the ceremony – the clouds broke open and we got a little bit of sunshine. This was a fantastic day and thank you so much for sharing it with YTK.
