You may remember the AMAZING Maternity session with Shannon and Jeff... Today I am here to introduce their beautiful baby boy – Mr. Maxen. We had a grand old time making this little guy giggle and I am in love with the adorable outfits Shannon had lined up. One of my favorite things to do is spend time with a wonderful family and this is exactly why…
Check out those eyes! – Such a flirt!
After some studio love we went outside for some great family photos!
Check out Maxen’s Suit and Tie!
and that hat!!! I can’t – he is too cute!
Sweet snuggle love with Mommy and Daddy!
I can’t wait to see Maxen again in a few months!

We have another Middleton who has flawless fashion – so, step aside Kate and please let me introduce Sam and Brandon.
The weather wasn’t the greatest for our shoot, but we had an amazing location with plenty of nooks to duck under. We dodged a few random downpours on our way up and I was so thankful for my handy dark sky app – I was constantly checking the radar and felt like Helen Hunt in Twister haha.
Both Sam and Brandon have awesome style and we had at least a dozen outfits to choose from (we only had time for three) and I so wanted to photograph them all! And this couple – I am in love … they both were so natural and fun in front of the camera and a DREAM to capture.
It was awesome to work with two extremely loving, driven and beautiful people – inside and out!
This was the unanimous favorite image from the shoot!
Sam is Stunning – these hydrangea made for the perfect background with this sweet headpiece by Tara Holmes of Tiane Novati.
When shopping for accessories at Anchor No. 5 Boutique, I found this little “P” pendant necklace. Sam and Brandon had already picked the name for their daughter and they chose Peyton – so naturally this was an instant treasure for the shoot.
Thank you for asking me to be a part of this time in your life! I can’t wait to see you soon and to meet Miss Peyton!!! A BIG thank you to Cj for filling in as assistant and for all of your general awesomeness!

It has been a super busy season and I am thrilled to share this Senior Session with you! Caitlin is a natural beauty who has been riding horses since she was little. When we set up the shoot, she told me that it would be ideal to work at a farm with her horse – Que. Horse farms are an amazing background and we had a fabulous time making these images. This shoot really brought me back to my country roots! Cowboy boots, plaid, horses, and riding in the back of a FORD pickup truck!!! It was a blast.
Caitlin, it was great to work with you and I wish you the best of luck this year!
Lace everywhere! I love this shot of Caitlin dress with the Queen Anne’s Lace!
The image of Que on the left cracks me up – such a great moment.
Even Que’s bridle had some fantastic bling! Check out those details.
Rich weathered wood – look at the colors!
She is a natural B.E.A.U.T.Y!
This is one of my favorite images from the shoot. I love the interaction and her smile in the soft light.
This detail is delicious!
We switched up outfits and she put on some country kickin’ plaid – looks awesome with the red barn.
We then switched locations to a friend’s farm with a great “prop” – along the way we got to see this stunning view right at sunset…
That’s right – Caitlin’s “prop” was a Giant John Deere! That tire is bigger than she is.
The tractor made for an awesome background.
And I had to snag a silhouette.
Thank you so much for having me capture your senior portraits!

I have a very special blog for you today featuring the beautiful and historic Ten Broeck Mansion in Albany, NY. This federal-style home was built in 1797-98 for General Abraham and his wife, Elizabeth Van Rensselaer. Now it is home and headquarters of the Albany County Historical Association, (ACHA) an organization that helps preserve the history and heritage of the Capital Region. The Ten Broeck Mansion operates as a “Historic House Museum” that is absolutely exquisite with decadent décor and gorgeous gardens.
In addition to the museum and educational programs the TBM is available for private events including galas and weddings. Last year, I was commissioned to shoot a promo at the TBM for their Gala Event (a burlesque show that got some press). In speaking about additional promotion with the Assistant Director, Jillian Altenburg, we talked about the need for some photographs to help promote the Mansion as a Wedding Venue, and thus we created this Gatsby themed shoot.
Tomorrow, September 21, 2013 The Ten Broeck Mansion will be hosting their second annual Burlesque Gala with the talents of Charmed and Dangerous. We invite you to come view this exquisite house, enjoy a glass of wine in the gardens and be entertained by some of the most beautiful women in the Capital Region!
There are so many details in the Mansion – I could photograph here for days!
I Just LOVE this amazing custom Belt from Tiane Novati
Another amazing metal headpiece with vintage hair combs from Tiane Novati
And now out to the formal Gardens….
I love the romance and mood of this image.
Among the dozens of flowers, The Ten Broeck Mansion also has an arbor covered in grapes! The light was so soft and beautiful and I adore Lynnae’s smile and gesture here.
Along the garden pathway, the trees create this magnificent natural archway. It works so well in photographs!
I had to throw some images in sepia to complete that vintage look!
It was so wonderful to work with the Ten Broeck Mansion again. It is truly a stunning location! I am looking forward to shooting here again!
A BIG thank you to our beautiful models Lynnae and Danny, Petra of Anchor Boutique for supplying the glamorous accessories created by Tara Holmes of Tiane Novati, and to Jillian at the Ten Broeck Mansion for coordination and assistance.

I get the happy privilege of working with lots of families – capturing their joy and growth. Recently, I got to catch up with this happy bunch and to meet Miss Ella (last time I was here she was just a bump and it was snowing!)
I am IN LOVE with this smile – it’s contagious! :::grin::::

Such a beautiful family!
Those Vermont Mountains were “picturesque” for this shoot!
Mommy and Baby in this warm Golden Light!
We even got some images with Ella’s Uncle! I just adore the image on the right. The laughter is priceless.
This is one of my favorites from the day – I love the candid interaction and her expression.
Dad’s Smile is amazing !
Another favorite from the day….
Cheeks for days……..

Meet the beautiful blue-eyed twins who just recently celebrated their first birthday! For this Family Portrait shoot we wanted to do something close to home and relaxing. So we started right outside the front door…
I love these family portraits. . . The styling was fab and the colors were very Americana!
Now off to the park for some end of summer fun.
When we first set up the shoot, Abby had said to me that she hoped that the girls would be walking… and guess what?!
These babies ROCK. One of the rocking chairs pictured is a family heirloom.
I am loving these delicious lemon and orange tutus from Anchor Boutique and Abby brought out the bubbles! It was too perfect!
How can you get over those blue eyes !?! They get them from their mama!
Such a sweet and beautiful family!
I am in love with this photo – the colors are wonderful, those smiles and ahh those eyes again – they get me every time.
Thank you for having me photograph your Family – I can’t wait to capture these beauties again!!

It’s back to school and what great timing to share these images from our Senior Shoot?! This past week has been busy and I have been asked a few times “What is my favorite stuff to shoot?” I struggled with this question a bit as I am passionate for all things photographic. When I boiled down the question the only answer is people. I love working, collaborating, and photographing people. Portraits, Lifestyle, Artistic, Fashion – doesn’t matter. Give me a beautiful landscape with perfect light and I still want to pop a person in the frame… Seniors are wonderful to work with and I love documenting this time in a young person’s life – collaborating and creating images to keep forever. Natalie it was great to work with you and I wish you the best of luck this year!
Check out that amazing Hair!

I love Black and White!
Such a great lifestyle shot! What sweet little toes!

I am soooooo excited to share this gorgeous Maternity Session with Sara and Dave! Dave is a fab jewelry designer (he actually made my engagement ring) and owner of Hudson Valley Goldsmith based downstate in the Stone Ridge Area. He and his beautiful wife, Sara love nature and the outdoors – so, when picking a spot for some maternity images they chose Minnewaska State Park. Minnewaska is GORGEOUS with so many views! I could have stayed ALL day and can’t wait to go back again!

We are T – ONE Month (to the day) until this fun couple’s BIG DAY. I can’t wait for this couple to tie the knot. A few weeks ago, our Bride contacted me and wanted to do another shoot in summer with a different background. We selected my stomping grounds and had a wonderful time in Troy with great treads and gorgeous golden light!
