There is so much to absolutely adore about a Courthouse Wedding and we could not love capturing them any more than we already do! First, they are simple and the focus is on the excitement of two hearts becoming one. They are generally laid back, sweet, and romantic. Plus we love that we can plan for some epic shooting locations like we did for Gisselle and Wayde! Seriously we have the best couples with the most wonderful love stories – I am telling you that this one is going to make your day (even if it was the crappiest day ever) especially if you are romantics like us! Right after these two said their I Do’s at the Albany Courthouse I was walking beside our groom and wanted to get his side of the story.
Me: “Wayde, when did you fall in love with Gisselle?”
Wayde::::::::replies with the biggest smirk:::::: “7th Grade.”
Me: “Really!?!? ::::squeaking with excitement:::: “Oh that’s just the best thing that I have heard all year.”
Wayde: “Yep, and now she is my wife.”
If I didn’t love this couple enough already – Wayde took it to a whole new level. So prepare yourself for the sweetest little love story we have the pleasure of sharing!
We shot some portraits in the awesome Renaissance Hotel in downtown Albany.
Right at this spot (the connect four table) Wayde asked Gisselle to be his bride!
At the Courthouse everyone was buzzing about!
Off to the clerk for the official paperwork.
Gisselle was just all smiles!
The Judge had a few great words of advice for Wayde.
The courtroom was beautiful for these Albany Courthouse wedding photos!
After, we popped over to the park for some natural backgrounds!
And we LOVE this family portrait with their children!
So remember how I told you about getting to select some epic locations? Well as you can see by his uniform, Wayde is in the Navy and I thought that it would be really awesome if we got some portraits of them with the USS Slater that is docked in the harbor. They LOVED the idea – especially Gisselle who also served in the Army!
We had no idea if we would be able to get on board but very few people resist a beautiful girl in a white dress.
How romantic and awesome is this!?!
They call this a Hedgehog.
Thank you to the volunteers at the USS Slater who let us capture these beautiful photos!
To Wayde and Gisselle – Thank you for your service to our Country.
It truly was an honor capturing your Albany courthouse wedding. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness!
