Katherine Wright is a professional photographer, designer, and highly sought after educator. She has taught hundreds of photographers from amateurs to professionals. She is renowned for her extensive photographic knowledge both technical and artistic. Based out of New York Capital Region, Katherine teaches virtually everything photographic including traditional wet lab, digital lab, basic to advanced shooting techniques, lighting techniques, post production workflow, professional business practices, and exhibition practices.
Katherine’s commercial work is noted for her lighting and ability to capture a wide range of subjects. In her personal work, she explores women in myth in conjunction with alternative process. Katherine’s images are included in many private collections and she has been exhibited in various galleries on the east coast.
In addition to her many commissioned photographic endeavors, Katherine conducts workshops and lectures both privately and with many institutions in New York’s Capital Region, including: The Woodstock Center for Photography, The Art Center of the Capital Region, and Siena College.
In her spare time, Katherine enjoys films, cooking, sewing, traveling and volunteering her creative skills to many non-profit organizations in the Capital Region.
